It seems like just yesterday when we pioneered the country’s first Real Estate Umbrella Liability Purchasing Group (way back in 1987)! In fact, the predecessor firm from which we established our real estate platform was born somewhere in the 1940s. Back then, we were a retail insurance brokerage firm, handling the insurance needs of condominiums and cooperatives in New York and acting as the insurance arm of a large property management company. By 1995 we were already well underway in the process of transforming ourselves into the underwriting and program management company that we are today. And believe it or not, we think we’re just getting started!

Today we are one of the largest and fastest growing real estate program managers in the country. We write business through hundreds of independent agents and brokers in virtually every state. Currently we have eight unique programs, over 250 employees including our subsidiary in Qingdao, China and are growing all the time.

While we’ve certainly changed, we have always remained focused on the real estate business. At first it was condos and coops – but now we have solutions for everything from rental apartment buildings to strip shopping centers and affordable housing. Our newest program is designed specifically for small urban multi-dwelling buildings that we call City Homes.
