What To Do When You Have A Directors &
Officers Loss
Reporting
- All claims should be reported directly to Great American Insurance
Company (GAIC) at the address or fax number indicated below. Telephone
reports will not be accepted.

A standard Acord First Notice of Loss form should be
completed |

Attach all supporting documents with the first notice. |

Though it isn't required, you may want to send the documents
by Certified mail. |

Copies to DPG are not necessary, as GAIC will provide
us with all pertinent info. |
- The insured may need to engage personal counsel to file an
extension if a lawsuit is involved. The carrier will determine
coverage prior to accepting defense of the litigation.
- GAIC will issue a preliminary coverage analysis, usually within
10 working days of receipt of the claim.
- You or the insured may contact the Legal Department at GAIC
for questions or inquiries on specific claims.
